Exterior Renovations in Surrey, Built Around Your Siding
Mi Casa Exteriors handles exterior renovations in Surrey, from siding and trim to fascia, soffit and rot repair, all with one in-house crew.
Most exterior renovations in Surrey start with one problem. A soft corner board. A gutter that’s pulling away. Siding that’s finally given up. Then the old cladding comes off, and the trim, the window openings and the wood behind them all need a decision too.
That’s the work we do at Mi Casa Exteriors. We’re a siding company first, and our exterior renovation work covers everything that touches the siding. One in-house crew handles it from tear-off to the last sealed joint. Here’s exactly what that includes, and what it doesn’t.
Why Wall Assembly Matters More Than Material Choice
We take on the parts of your home’s exterior that keep water out of the walls. Siding sits at the centre. Everything below connects to it, so we can plan it as one job instead of five.
Siding Replacement
Most projects are built around a full siding replacement. The old cladding comes off, the wall gets checked, and new siding usually goes on over a drained gap.
Building a new home or an addition instead? That’s siding installation, with no old cladding to remove.
Trim and Corner Boards
Window casings, corner boards and band boards are where water likes to sit. Our exterior trim work includes the flashing behind each board, not just a fresh bead of caulk.
Wood Rot Repair
When the sheathing or framing behind the siding has gone soft, we cut back to sound wood. Then we fix the detail that let water in. Rot repair behind the siding is often the first thing a renovation turns up.
Windows, During a Re-Side Only
We replace windows when the siding is already off. That’s the one time the opening can be flashed the right way. Here’s how window installation during siding replacement works on our jobs.
Fascia and Soffit
The roof edge is part of the exterior too. We replace rotted fascia boards and soffit panels at the eaves, then put your existing gutters back on the new wood.
Stucco to Siding
Old stucco can come off and be replaced with new siding. A stucco-to-siding conversion changes the whole look of a house in one project.
See the New Look Before Work Starts
Picking a colour from a small sample is hard. Before any work starts, we can show you photorealistic renderings of your own house with the new siding and trim, so you can compare a few options side by side.
Where Our Scope Stops
A clear scope protects you. The Canadian Home Builders’ Association says a renovation contract should spell out both the contractor’s and the homeowner’s responsibilities. Ours stops at roofing, gutters and insulation, and we only replace windows as part of a re-side. Our waterproofing page lists the trades we leave to others, so you know who to call for the rest.
Where Our Scope Stops
Water damage usually starts where two trades meet. The siding crew blames the window installer. The trim guy caulks over the gap. Nobody owns the joint.
When the same crew does the siding, the trim and the window flashing, there’s no handoff. We don’t use subcontractors on any job. If a joint we built leaks, it’s ours to fix.
Timing gets easier too. One customer had us replace their fascia before their roof was redone. Gus fit them into the schedule so the roofer could start on time. That kind of planning is simple when one company owns the exterior work.
Exterior Renovations Across Surrey and Nearby
Older streets in Newton and Guildford often still have original wood siding or early vinyl. Those homes tend to need the full list: rot repair, new trim and a drained wall behind new siding.
Newer homes in Clayton and Grandview Heights usually need less. There, a failed detail at one window is more common than a whole-wall problem. We’ll tell you which one you’ve got.
We work across Surrey, White Rock, South Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows from our base at 19340 65 Ave in Surrey.
How Pricing Works
We quote every exterior renovation on site after a free inspection. Two houses on the same street can need very different work. These are the things that move the price most:
- How much siding comes off
- What we find in the sheathing and framing
- How many window openings need work
- The siding and trim materials you pick
For a sense of scale, re-siding a 2,500 square foot home costs about $25,000 in vinyl lap siding and about $37,000 in fibre cement lap. Stucco removal is quoted on top. Most repair jobs land between $5,000 and $10,000.
On full siding replacements, our estimate includes up to 100 square feet of sheathing repair. If we find more, we stop and show you before going further.
There’s no deposit. You pay when the work is done and you’re happy with it. We take cash, cheque and e-transfer.
Credentials You Can Check
Our project managers each bring 8 or more years of hands-on field work. We’re registered with WorkSafeBC (clearance C136733062), we carry $2,000,000 in liability coverage, and we’re BBB Accredited. Our 25-year workmanship warranty covers the siding and trim we install, and it’s signed by the company and by your installer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you handle the whole exterior or just siding?
We handle everything that connects to the siding. That means siding, trim, fascia, soffit, rot repair behind the wall, stucco removal and windows during a re-side. We don’t do gutters, roofing or insulation.
Is there a deposit for an exterior renovation?
No. Nobody pays us anything up front. The final invoice comes after the work is finished and you’re happy with it, and cash, cheque and e-transfer all work.
Which areas do you serve for exterior renovations?
We cover Surrey, White Rock, South Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Our base is at 19340 65 Ave in Surrey. Call 604-603-0257 with your address and we’ll confirm.
When can I reach you to book an inspection?
Our hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Inspections are free and booked by appointment.
Do you use subcontractors for exterior renovations?
No. Our own crews handle every project, so one team is responsible for every joint on your house, from the siding to the window flashing.
Should my roof be done before or after the siding?
Usually before. If the fascia is rotten, we replace it first so your roofer has solid wood at the roof edge. The new roof goes on next, then the siding, and the gutters go back up last.
How do you work with roofers, gutter companies and other trades?
We plan around them. If your roof or gutters are being replaced too, we’ll set our schedule so the fascia and siding are done in the right order. We tell you up front which parts are ours and which belong to another trade.
